What is the history and origins of Ajo Sacha?
Ajo Sacha, or South American Wild Garlic, is a species of perennial climbing plants of the Bignoniaceae family. Its origin is in the tropical forests of South America, in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. Traditionally, this plant is used by the indigenous peoples of these regions due to its medicinal and shamanic virtues. Ajo Sacha is also known for its garlic smell, but it does not belong to the alliaceae family.
