Démon Facétieux - Kiwi and melon rum, 49% spirit drink
Démon Facétieux - Kiwi and melon rum, 49% spirit drink
Démon Facétieux: a spirit drink made with rum - kiwi and melon, 49% vol. An unexpected quartet, quince, kiwi, melon and cherry, on an agricole rum base. The mischief lies in the blend: two juicy fruits, one tart fruit, one long-keeping fruit.

Why this is not an arranged rum
Why this is not an arranged rum
Arranged rum relies on a long maceration with sugar, which rounds off and masks. Our infusion technique is an entirely different process. It is a method we developed ourselves and do not disclose: on a blend like this one, it is what allows each fruit to remain identifiable.
Composition
Composition
Agricole rum, quince, kiwi, melon, cherry. No artificial flavouring, no colouring.
Tasting
Tasting
The melon opens, broad and juicy. The kiwi cuts in behind it with its green acidity, the cherry brings fruitiness, and the quince closes the palate on a sharper, fragrant note, the one that gives the whole its structure. At 49% vol, serve chilled or over an ice cube, which will gradually open it up.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Four fruits in one bottle, can you still tell them apart on the palate?
Yes, because they are chosen to complement rather than compete with each other: melon and cherry for fruitiness, kiwi for acidity, quince for structure and length.
Can I taste it before buying a bottle?
Yes. It comes in a 50 ml vial at 9 €, available in the selector above. Enough to form a complete opinion before moving on to the 500 ml.
Quince in a spirit, does it work?
That is precisely what sets this bottle apart. Quince is a long-keeping fruit, dense and fragrant, which holds up very well to alcohol where a more delicate fruit fades away. It provides the finish.
49% vol, isn't that too strong?
It is a high strength, and a deliberate one: at this alcoholic strength, the aromas carry further and the finish lingers. An ice cube is enough to soften it if you wish.
How should I store it once opened?
Bottle tightly closed, upright, away from light and heat. At this strength, it keeps for several years without noticeable change.
