The name sounds like something out of a grimoire, but it is a very real resin, and blood red, hence its name. It does not come from a single plant: depending on its origin, it is taken from the fruit of a South-East Asian rattan (Daemonorops draco) or from the bark of the Socotra dragon tree (Dracaena cinnabari), an umbrella-shaped tree that grows only on that island. It was used as a pigment, as a varnish for violins and as a dye before being burned for its scent.

When burned, it gives off a resinous, dense and slightly balsamic scent, which the fruit biomass brightens.

Five sticks, five scent profiles: Feu (fire), warm and spicy; Terre (earth), woody; Eau (water), fresh and floral; Air, light; Éther (ether), floral.

Burn on a suitable incense holder, in a ventilated room, and never leave a stick unattended. All combustion produces fine particles: air the room after use, and prefer occasional use to continuous smoke. Keep out of reach of children and pets. This is not a therapeutic product and we attribute no health effect to it.
