Composition
Composition
Eucalyptus, bay laurel and cedar leaves, natural charcoal, natural binder. No added chemicals, no synthetic fragrance: the scent comes from the foliage itself. Raw materials from sustainable sources.
The scent
The scent
Eucalyptus opens, bold and camphoraceous. Bay laurel brings a drier, slightly peppery note, the same one you recognise in a leaf crushed between your fingers. Cedar closes on a dry woody base that lingers in the room for a long time. It is a herbalist's trio rather than a perfumer's: it smells of plants, not flowers.
What tradition says
What tradition says
These three plants have long been used in purification fumigations, bay laurel in the Mediterranean, cedar in North American and Near Eastern traditions. We mention these uses because they belong to the history of these plants. We attribute no health effect to them: this is not a therapeutic product.
Precautions for use
Precautions for use
Burn in a suitable incense holder, in a ventilated room, and never leave a stick unattended. All combustion produces fine particles: air the room after use, and prefer occasional use to continuous smoke. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Also worth exploring: olibanum resin and our full range of incense and resins.
