Roi Nut's gourmet green tea - walnut and hazelnut

Sencha green tea, roasted Houjicha green tea, hazelnut, walnut, vanilla, coconut, cinnamon, ginger. Natural blend, no chemical flavourings, sustainably farmed ingredients.

• Infusion time: 2 to 3 minutes

A cup that awakens the senses without rushing them: a balanced Sencha, softened by the roasted notes of the Houjicha and elevated by hazelnut, walnut, vanilla and coconut. Ideal in the morning or for a gentle break before noon.

It pairs particularly well with a homemade walnut and honey cake, or a few squares of dark praline chocolate.

What is Houjicha?
A Japanese green tea roasted at a high temperature. Roasting gives it a brown colour and a toasted taste close to hazelnut, and naturally reduces its theine (caffeine) content. It is the link with the nuts in the blend.

Does it contain allergens?
Yes, it contains nuts: hazelnut and walnut. Avoid if you have an allergy.

Is it sweetened?
No sugar is added. The indulgent impression comes from the vanilla, the coconut and the roasting, not from sugar.

Why 75 to 80 °C and not hotter?
Sencha turns bitter above 80 °C, which would overpower the hazelnut notes. Let the water cool for a few minutes after boiling.
