Is it the same as Moroccan mint tea?
It takes its two key ingredients: Gunpowder and mint. The difference is that traditional Moroccan tea is heavily sweetened when served, whereas nothing is added here: sweeten it or not, to your taste.
What is Gunpowder?
A Chinese green tea whose leaves are rolled into small tight pellets that unfurl as they steep. It gives a more robust cup than a Sencha, which lets it stand up to the strength of the peppermint.
Peppermint or spearmint?
It is whole peppermint, more intense and fresher on the palate than mild spearmint. If you find the cup too strong, reduce the steeping time to 2 minutes.
Can I drink it in the evening?
It contains theine (caffeine), so it is better during the day. For the evening, turn to our theine-free fruity herbal teas.
