Fly to ze graal - Buckwheat and blueberry rum, 49% spirit drink
Fly to ze graal: a spirit drink made with rum - buckwheat and blueberry, 49% vol, on a base of agricole rum from Guadeloupe. This is the bottle that surprises our visitors most: served blind, it is mistaken for a rum aged for years in the cask.

An aged rum? No, an infusion
An aged rum? No, an infusion
It has never seen a cask, and it has not aged a single day. The roundness, the length and the woody finish come not from wood but from roasted buckwheat, which brings the toasted grain notes usually attributed to oak. It is our infusion technique that recreates the result, not time.
Why this is not an arranged rum
Why this is not an arranged rum
Arranged rum relies on a long maceration with sugar, which rounds off and masks. Our infusion technique is an entirely different process. It is a method we developed ourselves and do not disclose: here, it is exactly what separates a fake old rum from a genuine tasting result.
Composition
Composition
Agricole rum from Guadeloupe, roasted buckwheat, wild blueberry. No artificial flavouring, no colouring. Bottle hand-sealed with beeswax.
Tasting
Tasting
Neat, chilled or over an ice cube. The attack is round, the mid-palate broad, and the finish moves into a roasted, woody note that lingers for a long time. The blueberry does not make itself obvious: it works in the background, bringing a dark, slightly tangy backbone on which the buckwheat lays its roasted notes.
Where the name comes from
Where the name comes from
On the label, a hypnotised figure flies towards the bottle. The grail is the rum itself: the one you search for a long time without finding, and eventually come close to. The name says what we think of this recipe, with all the irony that goes with it.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Is it really cask-aged?
No, never. No time in wood, no ageing. That is precisely what surprises people at the tasting: the profile suggests a rum several years old, when it has only just left our workshop. The woody notes come from roasting the buckwheat, not from oak.
Can I taste it before buying a bottle?
Yes. It comes in a 50 ml vial at 9 €, available in the selector above. It is the simplest way to check the old rum effect for yourself before moving on to the 500 ml.
What exactly does the buckwheat bring?
Once roasted, it develops aromas of toasted grain and bread crust, the same aromatic families as a cask-aged rum. That is what gives the sensation of wood on the finish without any wood being involved.
Why can't I taste the blueberry?
Because that is not what it is there for. It brings depth and a subtle acidity that keep the roasted notes from becoming dry and dusty. If you are looking for a bottle where the fruit is immediately recognisable, turn instead to our fruity infusions.
Who is it for?
For lovers of aged rums and dark spirits, and for those who find fruit infusions too fruity. It is the most restrained in the range.
Why the beeswax on the cork?
It is a seal applied by hand, bottle by bottle. It protects the cork and guarantees that the bottle has never been opened. Simply break the wax when opening.
