Potion Magique green tea - kalamansi and guava

China Sencha green tea, apple, hibiscus, China Jasmine green tea, coconut, basil, natural flavouring, coriander seed, redcurrant, marigold. Loose-leaf tea.

• Amount: 12 to 15 g per litre, i.e. about 3 g for a 250 ml cup
• Temperature: 75 to 80 °C
• Infusion time: 2 to 3 minutes

Enjoy hot for an unusual fruity break, or iced to bring out its fresh, thirst-quenching side. Hibiscus gives the colour, kalamansi the liveliness, basil the signature.

What is kalamansi?
A small citrus fruit from South-East Asia, somewhere between a lime and a mandarin. More floral than a lemon and less acidic, it gives the cup its particular liveliness.

Why is the cup so colourful?
That is the hibiscus. Its petals naturally release an intense red colour as they steep, without any added colouring. The longer you steep, the deeper the colour.

Basil in a tea, really?
Yes, and that is what gives it its signature. Basil brings a herbaceous note that balances the very fruity side of the kalamansi and guava. You notice it mostly on the finish.

Does it work as an iced tea?
Particularly well. Its colour and fruity profile make it one of the best candidates in the range for a summer jug of iced tea.
