Rare seeds to sow, chosen for what makes them unusual: species from plant folklore, toxic collector's plants, uncommon aromatics, remarkable trees and a few botanical curiosities you won't find at a garden centre.
Each product page states what you receive, the precise sowing protocol for the species - temperature, light requirements, cold stratification, soaking or scarification when needed - and what the plant becomes when mature. These details make the difference between a seed tray that comes up and one that never does: many of these seeds have precise requirements, and we would rather write them down than let you believe everything is sown the same way.
Our seeds are harvested from our mother plants at the greenhouse, in the Jura, or selected from growers when the species does not grow in our climate. They are untreated.
Toxic plants: what we say about them
Part of this collection brings together genuinely dangerous species: belladonna, aconite, daturas, henbane. Their product pages carry an explicit warning with handling precautions and the number to call in case of ingestion. These seeds are sold as ornamental and botanical collector's seeds, to adults, and we provide no dosage, no preparation method and no expected effect. If you grow plants with children or animals around, read these warning boxes before ordering.
Where to start
If you are a beginner, the most reliable sowings in the collection are brède mafane, Roman chamomile, red goji and annual wormwood. The most demanding are yerba mate, whose germination takes several months, and mountain arnica, which will not tolerate chalky soil.
If you would rather skip the sowing stage, many of these species are also available as established young plants.
